Bibiana Diaz Guysayko

Bibiana was born on August 7, 1917. She was known as "Babing".  Babing went to the Colegio de Santa Isabel in Naga, and later at the Assumption Convent in Manila where she paved the way for more generations of Assumption girls in her family.  Babing married Crisanto Nicolas Guysayko and they had four children: Ma. Concepcion (Marichi), Ma. Penafrancia (Penny), Ma. Luisa and Crisanto, Jr. (Colacho).

Rare for a woman of her generation, Babing left her family in the 1950s for a year or so, to pursue a Master's degree at Fordham University in New York. When she died at age 54 in 1971, she was in the midst of completing yet another Master's degree at De La Salle University. Babing was known to many as "Mrs. Guysayko."  She taught at the Assumption for twenty years, and has long been remembered by generations of her students. But most of all, she was the beloved Mommy and Lola Babing to her children and grandchildren.

This is the website that details the lives of her children, grandchildren, and now even great-grandchildren. Lola, hope you are looking down from heaven and enjoying the view!
